Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today's blog post is about two new lipstick launches at the drugstore, the Covergirl Katy Kat Matte Lipsticks and the Maybelline Color Sensational The Loaded Bolds Lipsticks. Flower Beauty Cosmetics: Overview

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post! Today, I have an overview of a beauty brand to go in depth about today. And that beauty brand is Flower Beauty which is a brand made by Drew Barrymore. I was super intrigued by this makeup brand because not only is it named Flower Beauty and has beautiful flower names for many of its products, but its entire  premise is that it offers quality products at a drugstore price and its made in the USA.

Now Flower Beauty has been out for a while and I've had the products I'll be discussing for a while but I wanted to really utilize them before I give my opinion on the brand. To buy these products, Flower Beauty only sells at Walmart and I don't really have a Walmart easily accessible to me so I had to order online which to me is a downfall. So I tried to buy items that I knew I would be using often and based my decisions on how it looked on the website.

So if you want to learn what I think about the Flower Beauty brand and the cosmetics I bought, click on read more!

Beauty Blunder: E.L.F. Lip Stain

Hello wonderful readers of our blog! It has been a while since I last did a Beauty Blunder! I love doing these posts because it not only gives me reflection on the products that I've bought but it also gives our readers a chance to either stay away from these beauty blunders or give them a try for themselves. I have a cheap drugstore product to talk about today and it is the E.LF. Lip Stain in Berry Blush.

This lip stain only costs $2 at Target or on the E.L.F. website so I don't feel as bad that this turned out to be a blunder but I had high hopes for it because it seemed like it would work. This lip stain looks just like a marker and if you remember when Revlon came out with a marker style lip stain a couple of years ago, then it is basically the same thing. Although, I should have learned my lesson with it because I did not like those Revlon lip stains at all. But the Revlon ones cost like probably $6 to $8 so I'm happy that I didn't spend that much this time.

Claims: Get beautiful precision color that lasts for hours with this pigment rich lip stain marker. The pen-like tip lets you draw on color easily for a streak & smudge free professional look. Infused with nourishing Vitamin E to hydrate and moisturize lips.

The claims sounded really great but we know its a blunder so if you want to know more about my thoughts and experience with this product, click on read more!

Flashback Foundations Friday: Maybelline Fit Me Shine Free StickFoundation

Hurray for another Flashback Foundations Friday! I hope you all are enjoying these posts as much as I am.

Today, I'll be talking about the Maybelline Fit Me Shine Free Stick Foundation. I remember these being advertised a lot of the T.V. and because the concept of it seemed intriguing, I immediately bought it. I bought this foundation a long time ago when it first came out but never really got around to trying it out and talking about it here on the blog post. I've been sifting through all my makeup lately and discovered that I had maybe worn this foundation once or twice. I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to not only include this in our FFF's but to also wear it more often.

So, I wore this for an entire week straight and here is what Maybelline had to say about the product.

Claims: Our first gel stick foundation with an anti shine core. Fresh gel foundation blends to a natural matte finish. Lightweight powders in the anti shine core instantly dissolve excess oil. It's one step perfection. The first of its kind - lightweight gel stick foundation with an anti shine core: powder core instantly dissolves excess oil, for flawless shine free skin and tailor made natural matte coverage, and easy to apply and great on the go. (www.maybelline.com)

This has been out now for quite some time now but some may still be interested in buying it. I still do see these in the drugstores lately so it is still accessible to all. Please comment below and let me know if you enjoy our FFF's posts and let's get on with the review!

Primer Review: L'oreal Revitalift Miracle Blur & L'oreal Youthcode Pore Vanisher

Hello lovely people who read our blog! Today, I have a review on two types of primers from L'oreal. The L'oreal Revitalift Miracle Blur and the L'oreal Youthcode Pore Vanisher. I have been wanting to try out these two primers ever since they came out but they are just so expensive for the drugstore! I think they both retail for about $25-$25 (I'll have exact numbers later in the blog) and I think that it just crazy for drugstore. I would expect to find a primer like this at a more high end place like Sephora or the Macy's makeup counter.

Of course, I'm not bashing on L'oreal for making a drugstore product expensive but when you think of expensive don't you think of luxury? Like because these primers are expensive for the drugstore I automatically think they are going to be fabulous and life changing.

Now because I am a broke college student with no job (anyone hiring?) I couldn't afford the two primers for a really long time. They've been out for months now and the only reason I was able to buy it was because L'oreal was gracious enough, for the budget beauty like me, to sell these primers in sample sizes.

I go to Target at least once a week, whether it's to scour the makeup aisle or to just look around and maybe get a Starbucks drink. Trust me, I love Target so much. So when I was perusing down aisles and idling about it, I stumbled upon the L'oreal sample sizes. It wasn't a magnificent display or anything and the primers were just there, not even near the beauty section, as if this was something not to go crazy about.

Basically, I didn't care what my bank account was telling me. I immediately bought the two sample size primers and I wasn't going to regret it one bit when I got back home. The two sample primers retailed for about $5.99, which is MORE than half the original full size one. Now think about it, these are two pretty good sample sizes. You don't need a lot of primer, you'll probably need a pea size amount, and you'll still have weeks to maybe months of good wear and tear of this product. What I also like about this is that it'll help me determine even better whether or not I want to fork over $20 for a bottle of this primer. Just in case I didn't like it, I know I would have totally regretted the whole thing and be mad at myself for buying it in the first place. Oh, the price we pay being broke and loving makeup at the same time. My wallet is so sad right now :(

Anyways, moving on from my woes, I tried out each primer for a week and I really put it to the test. I love my primers and because of the price, I had super high expectations. Let's read what L'oreal has to say about these primers.

L'oreal Revitalift Miracle Blur Claims: Miracle Blur instantly erases the look of lines, wrinkles, and pores. Skin instantly looks and feels smooth, leaving a velvet soft matte finish that lasts all day. (www.lorealparisusa.com)

L'oreal Youthcode Pore Vanisher Claims: Fresh, airy cream minimizes the look of pores with a soft focus finish. (www.lorealparisusa.com)

And that's all the claims with each primer, so let's get on with the review!

May Drugstore Makeup Finds Of The Month: Sally Hansen, Rimmel & Milani

Oh my! It's already the end of May and that means I have my drugstore makeup finds of the month for you! Honestly, I didn't try out too many things this month because there wasn't really anything I was interested in. But, I have two products that I do want to talk about because all in all I think that I only bought three beauty products for the month of May.

I know I skipped April because I tried really really hard NOT to buy anything for that month because...no money in the bank of Daisy. So for this month I am featuring the Big Shiny Top Coat by Sally HansenRimmel Scandaleyes Gel Eye Liner and the Milani Power Lip Lasting & Moisturizing Gloss Stain. These are fairly new products for me so let's get with my finds of the month!

Review: L'oreal Voluminous Miss Manga Mascara

Hello lovelies! Today, I have another product to review for you. We're going to be talking about the L'oreal Voluminous Miss Manga Mascara. I first saw these in a kandeejohnson youtube video and then once more at my local CVS. I was actually excited to try these out because 1) cute packaging!!!!! 2) I never try out new mascara's and 3) it looked fabulous on Kandee Johnson.

The display was so cute at CVS. As you can see on the packaging it has a panda with big manga type eyes and fabulous lashes on it. SO CUTE!!!!!!! The mascara packaging itself is pink and black, very chic in my opinion, like I want to display this mascara out! Ugh, so cute. I don't have any mascaras that look like this. It's either the usual silver or black packaging. Here, I have the color Blackest Black.

Now I haven't seen this mascara being advertised yet and the only place I've seen it being sold has been at CVS. I do believe the Miss Manga Mascara is sold in Europe and possibly Asia but I'm not too sure. The only information that I was able to get about this mascara is through the L'oreal UK website.

Claims: Miss Manga features a 360 degree flexible brush for effortless application. Its unique brush has a flat surface to intensify and amplify upper lashes while its conical shape capture the lower lashes. (there's more but the site won't let me scroll down...www.loreal-paris.co.uk)

These claims sound great so let's get on with the review!

Hello everyone! This is a new 'segment' on our blog where I talk of some interesting beauty finds at the drugstore. This isn't necessarily a full on review but more like a first impression but less critical. Does that make sense?

Anyways, this month the drugstore has been coming out with a bunch of new makeup for the spring. So that's super exciting and means a lot more reviews here on the blog!

Here's what I found interesting at the drugstore:

Review: Revlon Lash Potion by Grow Luscious Mascara

Here is my review for the Revlon Lash Potion by Grow Luscious. I purchased this mascara a little more than a month ago, and I have not had time to test it out until recently. At first, I was going to do a first impressions on it, however, after wearing it out a couple times, I have formed an opinion on the mascara's performance. I have the waterproof version in the color 001 Blackest Black.

Review: Almay Smart Shade CC Cream & Mousse Makeup

I decided to go out on a whim (well because I got a $2 off coupon for Almay products at Target) and splurge on two new Almay face products from their smart shade line called the Almay Smart Shade CC Cream and the Almay Smart Shade Mousse Makeup. And let me just tell you, Almay isn't a cheap drugstore product. The CC Cream retails for $8.49 at Target and the Mousse Makeup is priced at $11.99. So let's get on to some swatches.

First Impressions: The Falsies Big Eyes Volum' Express Mascara

This is my first impressions review on a recently released mascara. Maybelline has a reputation of releasing great mascaras, such as the regular Falsies and Great Lash mascaras. I picked up this mascara at Target, because I thought this presented an intriguing concept. It is an ingenious concept to put two types of mascara wands in one package. So I figured, why not. I have the color Very Black in the Waterproof version.

"Innovation: Our first dual-ended brush for a captivating eye-opening false lash effect:
1. Upper-lashes brush: pushes lashes up and wide
2. Lower-lashes mini brush: grabs and coats every tiny lash"

Review: L'oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder

I went to Target the other day and just like any makeup obsessed person, I was browsing through the makeup aisle not expecting to buy anything. But this is the downfall of all makeup lovers out there because in reality you will buy something new, regardless if it was in your budget or not. And that product for me is the L'oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder. It was perched high on the L'oreal section shelf and I was only able to find it after doing a couple rounds around the makeup aisle. I was excited because I had not heard about this product anywhere and I immediately picked it up. Now it comes in around 12 shades with a decent color range from light to dark tan and it was easy for me to find my shade. The price was fairly reasonable at $10.99. So let's check out some swatches.

Review & Swatches: Rimmel London Show Off Lip Lacquers

First off, I would like to say that I am ecstatic that this is the first product review of our blog! This product has been within my makeup radar for quite a while, considering that this product was released earlier this year in the UK. In the UK, this product is called “Apocalips,” which is frankly a much better name than “Show Off.” The Show Off Lip Lacquers have very liquid-y textures, however they all deliver full opacity once you swipe them on your lips with its doe-foot applicator. The applicators deposit the perfect amount of product. Here, we have 5 of the 14 shades to review.
