Primark Mini Beauty Haul

I'm just going to put it out there. Primark just may be my favorite store ever. As an American, I had not had the privilege of experiencing Primark in all it's glory until they finally opened one up at the King of Prussia mall in Philadelphia. My friends and I are super obsessed with Primark. They have so many products like women clothing, men clothing, clothes for baby, shoes, lingerie, pajamas, beauty, accessories, and home. The store is gigantic but everything is well placed, organized, and there's (I think) three areas where you can check out.

So for this mini haul I wanted to talk about the beauty items that I got at Primark and in a separate blog post, I'll talk about the clothing, accessories, shoes, and whatever else I got so that this post isn't so long. You can really lose yourself at Primark and not pay such a hefty price for it.

Review: Colourpop Cosmetics Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick

Happy Monday beautiful's! Let's grab a cup of coffee and talk about the one beauty item that I cannot wait to get more of, liquid lipsticks. Okay, so let's think about around the end of May into June when Colourpop Cosmetics launched their own line of Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks. Here are the top three thoughts that crossed my mind.

1) How much is it?!

2) What are the color shades?!

3) HOW CAN I BUY THIS RIGHT NOW?!?!?!?

For hours, I researched on Youtube for any lip swatches of all the shades Colourpop was intending to release so that I could pick out the colors that I really wanted. If I had it my way I would have honestly bought the entire line because each was only $6 but of course I'm a broke college student and if I were to do that, no matter how amazing the price was, it seriously takes a toll on my wallet. So after hours of searching I narrowed down my choices to five that I thought I would wear often.

But getting those five were a nightmare. The moment the liquid lipsticks launched on their website, it was impossible to get any order in. But I persevered on because that's what a makeup enthusiast (aka addict) does! I WANTED--nope NEEDED these liquid lipsticks and I didn't care how long it would take for me to get them. After probably two whole hours on the website, I finally got to place my order!

So the five liquid lipsticks that I purchased are Tulle, Bumble, Trap, Highball and LAX. These are the colors that I thought I would wear the heck out of. So please click on read more if you want to find out my thoughts on these Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks!

Flower Beauty Cosmetics: Overview

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post! Today, I have an overview of a beauty brand to go in depth about today. And that beauty brand is Flower Beauty which is a brand made by Drew Barrymore. I was super intrigued by this makeup brand because not only is it named Flower Beauty and has beautiful flower names for many of its products, but its entire  premise is that it offers quality products at a drugstore price and its made in the USA.

Now Flower Beauty has been out for a while and I've had the products I'll be discussing for a while but I wanted to really utilize them before I give my opinion on the brand. To buy these products, Flower Beauty only sells at Walmart and I don't really have a Walmart easily accessible to me so I had to order online which to me is a downfall. So I tried to buy items that I knew I would be using often and based my decisions on how it looked on the website.

So if you want to learn what I think about the Flower Beauty brand and the cosmetics I bought, click on read more!

Hello beautifuls, today I have the BHCosmetics Galaxy Chic Baked Eyeshadow Palette to review and talk about! If I haven't said this before then I'll say it now but I cannot leave the house without some eyeshadow or eyeliner on my eyes. So you'll probably see a lot of palette reviews on this blog :)

I got this palette as a Christmas gift from one of my closest friends. Besides, BHCosmetics was having an amazing sale at the time so she also profited from the site as well. I think it was in a tutorial that she was using this and I fell in love with how it looked like on camera.

So let's get on with the review and swatches! I'm too super excited to talk about this palette...

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette: Swatches & Review

I FINALLY GOT THE URBAN DECAY NAKED 3 PALETTE!!! This has been a long time coming. I've been lusting over this palette ever since it was launched and I finally have it! My goodness, was this hard to track down. I saw it at Macy's in my hometown but at that time I didn't have enough money for it. When I finally got the money, it was all gone. I waited another month or so before I found it again at Ulta, all beautifully restocked. I grabbed one and couldn't wait to get home and try it out.

Can I tell you that I opened the palette with the utmost care? Like, I didn't want to rip it or anything and I'm not that kind of person. I'm the kid at Christmas that rip open presents and throw it up in the air acting like I don't have to clean any of that up later. I just could not deal with all the excitement.

I've had this palette for a couple of weeks now and I can say that I have a pretty good opinion about it. So let's get on with the swatches and review!

A Mini NYX Cosmetics Haul

Recently, I've been on this big makeup buying binge, and it needs to stop soon. I mean I'm having fun but my bank account is crying!

Anyways, NYX Cosmetics came out with their new 2014 line and everything looks absolutely amazing but the only things I were truly interested in were their new Butter Lipsticks. So, not only did I buy the lipsticks but I also got the Butter Lipglosses, which are not new, because I've never tried them before. I got a total of three butter lipsticks and two butter lip glosses.

From left to right I have:

Pops- a natural mauve pink
Hunk- a gorgeous bright blue violet color
Licorice- a rich and deep burgundy

From left to right I have:

Devil's Food Cake- a very glossy deep plum
Tiramisu- in my opinion, the perfect nude brown

My first impressions of these have been amazing. I think they are both super smooth and pigmented. I have been loving these ever since I got them, the lip glosses in particular, and I would recommend this for everything. It's both pretty cheap with the lipsticks costing $6 and the lip glosses $5. I got these off of the NYX website and I had no issues with shipping. It came pretty fast! (that's what she said ;) )

I wasn't going to do a full on review and swatches post of these just because I didn't feel it to be necessary. But, if you want it please leave a comment down below and I'll definitely make it happen.

I hope you enjoyed my mini NYX haul and I'll see you in the next blogpost.

Thanks for all the support and love!

Beauty Blunder: Almay Shadow Softies

There are always those beauty items that we hope and pray works out because its concept is so interesting but when you take it home and try it, its just eh. This is what I like to call a beauty blunder.

This is my first time showcasing a new segment on our blog. I was originally going to put this under "Makeup Finds Of The Month" but I feel that has a more positive light to it therefore I need either an okay or great product for it. So I decided on doing blunders because we all have experienced this.

For my first ever beauty blunder, I present the Almay Shadow Softies. I kept seeing these at Target and thought the colors and the concept of it was interesting. Here is what it claims.

Claims: Light as air, whipped powder shadows provide pure color. Choose from 12 matte and metallic shades to create a crease -free look. Hypoallergenic, ophthalmologist tested, made for sensitive eyes. (info from www.target.com)

Review: Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser

How excited was everyone else when Maybelline announced that they were launching their Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser in America?! Because, I sure was! I mean I've seen other people haul it in videos but it was only available in the asian market. I didn't want to pay shipping and what not to get a very affordable product in stores. Besides, I don't have any close friends in Asia to have them send it to me.

Now that America finally has it, I made a beeline to the drugstore. I knew from watching beauties on youtube that I was most likely to find this primer at CVS. And I actually did find it, which is a miracle for me because I never find new products so easily.

CVS had hidden the display on like a low shelf in the back with other new drugstore products, so it wasn't displayed proudly like the new Maybelline Elixirs (which there will be a review up on that soon). They had a couple left so I snagged one for a pretty affordable price of $7.99. I bet it was like $6 in other stores but I knew if I didn't just grab the one at CVS I wouldn't be able to find it anywhere else.

So, with my overexcitement in hand, let's review the product!

Review: Almay Color + Care Liquid Lip Balm

On the same day that I purchased the new L'oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder foundation I also decided to pick up the Almay Color + Care Liquid Lip Balm. I saw it in the Almay section of the makeup aisle and I contemplated whether or not I should buy it. At first glance I knew I was attracted to the packaging and the colors. So I decided why not give it a go since I had some preconceptions about it from other viewers. My mistake out of all this was that I thought it was a liquid lipstick, not a liquid lipbalm. So, when I went home to try it out I was super disappointed at the pigmentation and then proceeded to thoroughly read its description on the lip product itself. I felt so stupid and wondered where the heck did I hear that this was a liquid lipstick?! With a fresh new mindset, I proceeded on with my review. Here's swatches of the colors that I got.
