Beauty Blunder: E.L.F. Lip Stain

Hello wonderful readers of our blog! It has been a while since I last did a Beauty Blunder! I love doing these posts because it not only gives me reflection on the products that I've bought but it also gives our readers a chance to either stay away from these beauty blunders or give them a try for themselves. I have a cheap drugstore product to talk about today and it is the E.LF. Lip Stain in Berry Blush.

This lip stain only costs $2 at Target or on the E.L.F. website so I don't feel as bad that this turned out to be a blunder but I had high hopes for it because it seemed like it would work. This lip stain looks just like a marker and if you remember when Revlon came out with a marker style lip stain a couple of years ago, then it is basically the same thing. Although, I should have learned my lesson with it because I did not like those Revlon lip stains at all. But the Revlon ones cost like probably $6 to $8 so I'm happy that I didn't spend that much this time.

Claims: Get beautiful precision color that lasts for hours with this pigment rich lip stain marker. The pen-like tip lets you draw on color easily for a streak & smudge free professional look. Infused with nourishing Vitamin E to hydrate and moisturize lips.

The claims sounded really great but we know its a blunder so if you want to know more about my thoughts and experience with this product, click on read more!

Lashes & Lingerie: Adore Me Lingerie

(courtesy of: Adore Me)

Let's be honest. We all love to dress up on the outside but once in a while we have to treat ourselves by dressing up on the inside. #treatyoself

I was inspired by Adore Me to participate in their Lashes & Lingerie challenge and create amazing beauty looks that I think you all would enjoy. Adore Me is a store as well as a monthly subscription box that is all about the lingerie. It caters to all women of sizes with their range starting from size XS - 6XL, which in my opinion is absolutely amazing. They sell bras, panties, swimwear, corsets, and lingerie. With their amazing variety, you can either buy individual pieces or participate in their monthly subscription service.

In the subscription service, you can either opt to be a VIP member or a Pay As You Go member. Either member must take the style profile quiz in order for Adore Me to construct your unique box. After, each month you'll receive a showroom of what your lingerie of the month will be. Now the subscription service retails for $39.95. There are specific benefits when it comes to being a VIP member or a Pay As You Go Member. As a Pay As You Go Member, you get to have a beauty room each month and you get free shipping and exchanges. Whereas, with the VIP member benefits, you get a showroom each month, your first box is only $24.95 and every sixth box you get is free, you get $10 off any style any time, free shipping and exchanges, exclusive access to VIP only sales and sets, and finally you get to skip a month if you don't like what you see in your showroom. The company seems very flexible with how their membership and benefits work and overall the service seems easy.

First Impressions: Disney's Ariel Treasure Within Beaty Book by E.L.F.

How super excited was I when I discovered this gem at the drugstore?! This, our wonderful readers, is the Disney's Ariel Palette Treasure Within Beauty Book by E.L.F. My sister and I actually found this at Walgreens during a random run to the drugstore. We both saw it and went OOOOOOO! I was hesitant to buy it at first because I wasn't too sure of the quality but my sister liked it so much that I decided to buy it. I mean why not, it was only $10! There were other beauty products that went with this collection like lashes, I believe a brush set and makeup bag, and some hair accessories. I wasn't too interested in those and I just got the palette.

First off I'd like to say is that the design of this palette is absolutely gorgeous. The novelty of this item gives me such a nostalgic feel and giiiirrrlll Ariel's hair looks fantastic! The packaging is made out of tough cardboard and the strap closures to keep the front closed.

Now when you open it up, this is what the inside of the palette looks like. It comes with a little mirror on the side with a cute saying "You've got your own style...". This palette comes with six eyeshadows, two bronzers, and a lipgloss. The beauty book also comes with two beauty tools, an eyeshadow brush and a bronzer brush. I love the little detail of the bookmark with the A for Ariel wax stamp. On the back of it is a small version of the right side of the palette. Although it's cute it is quite annoying because every time I close the book it's in the way and I end up creasing the bookmark.

If you open the left side of the beauty book where the little mirror is, you'll find two step by step instructions of two different makeup looks. On the corner it has the saying "...Now let it come through." which finishes the quote from the front cover. I love it when any palette has these because if I'm feeling lazy and don't want to conjure up an eye look by myself, I can just refer to the tutorials.

Now that my little overview is done, let's actually check out the eyeshadows, bronzers, and lipgloss!

Daisy's June Fanvorites 2013

Welcome to the end of June and I'm here to bring you all my favorites of the month. June has been a pretty laid back month for me ever since school has ended in May and I've finished my freshman year at college. I have been buying new products here and there but I haven't tried them enough to really know if it was a favorite or not. So, I've been rediscovering some oldie but goodies makeup items in my collection. In the picture above are some beauty and non-beauty favorites that I was able to take a picture of and I will be mentioning some favorites that I could not photograph. Click on read more to check out what I have been loving for this month!
