Daisy's June Fanvorites 2013

Welcome to the end of June and I'm here to bring you all my favorites of the month. June has been a pretty laid back month for me ever since school has ended in May and I've finished my freshman year at college. I have been buying new products here and there but I haven't tried them enough to really know if it was a favorite or not. So, I've been rediscovering some oldie but goodies makeup items in my collection. In the picture above are some beauty and non-beauty favorites that I was able to take a picture of and I will be mentioning some favorites that I could not photograph. Click on read more to check out what I have been loving for this month!

I'm going to start off with beauty favorites.

1. This is the L'oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup Foundation and I am in the color W7 Caramel Beige. I love this foundation so much that I'm actually running out of it. I chose this foundation from my collection out on a whim wanting to start using up all my makeup and I ended up really liking this a lot. If I use a light hand with this the product can come out as lightweight on my skin, feel smooth, and it has great coverage. What I found was that if I put too much of it on, the foundation can look horrible. It can look super cakey and greasy and just ugh disgusting. So I advise you that you have to use a light hand and that will give you amazing medium to full coverage. Sometimes I don't even need a concealer. I have combination skin and I am oily around my T-Zone area and I do notice that during the day I can see my oils there but I know that if I powder well, the oils will go away. I don't recommend this for oily people, unless of course it works, everyone has different skin types! Oh and it also has an SPF of 17 which I feel is low enough to be okay to be photographed in. Anyways, I love this foundation during the month of June and I will be sad when it is all gone.

2. When I do need more coverage I rely on my handy dandy Revlon Photoready Concealer in the color 004 Medium. I love this concealer to do spot concealing on any acne problems or other blemish I have on my face. I've been getting random acne on my face and I've deduced it to either lack of sleep or the types of food I eat or all the makeup I've been testing out. This cover my spots flawlessly but it is drying and can show my dry patches sometimes but more blending with the concealer fixes that. I don't use this for under eyes because I don't like what I call the "perfect look". I like a little bit of dark circles showing just to make me look more natural. Other than that I love this concealer for...concealing!

3. Next up is the Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow in 710 Not Just Nudes. I LOVE THESE CREAM SHADOWS. See how I capitalized that sentence that means yes absolutely yes I love this product so much. Revlon has a bunch of other cream shadow quads but of course being the neutrals girl I am I have to have the best combinations of browns and neutrals ever. I can wholeheartedly compare these to the MAC painterly paint pots (which I hope a dupes post will be up on our blog soon). From left to right is a dark glittery brown, a matte light brown, a shimmery version of the matte brown, and a matte cream color. I love this one particular color which you can see in the picture that I am almost out of. It is an awesome matte light brown and I use it for a base after I've put on primer and before I put on shadow. I find that it just makes my eyeshadows stick on longer and if I want to go really simple on a makeup day than this color is perfect for that. If you love neutrals and cream products than I suggest you go out and buy this quad right now. Right now.

4. So here I have is a single eyeshadow by Pixi called the Fairy Light Solo in number 6 Warm Autumn. This is a matte light brown which I use as a crease and transition color in practically every eyeshadow look I've done since I've discovered this. This is seriously the perfect crease color and has been my go to ever since the end of May and into all of June. This is one of the few Pixi products that I own and I found this at Target. I have another Pixi single shadow but it doesn't hold a candle to this one. It is super pigmented so you have to use a light hand with it. I love this eyeshadow so much. I have no idea what I'm going to do without it once it's all gone.

5. This is the E.L.F. Golden Bronzer but the thing is I don't use this as a bronzer. The four shades from top left to right is a golden shimmer color, a pale shimmery pink color, a shimmery cream color, and lastly a dark taupe brown color with a little bit of shimmer. I use this as an eyeshadow quad and I kind of laugh at myself everytime I use it because of the fact that it's not only supposed to be a bronzer but that it's just four huge squares that come together to make an awesome eye look. When I first bought this product I did use it as a bronzer and it looked horrifying on me. I have tan medium skin color and this does not cater to that at all. I looked like I had cream streaks of golden shimmer all over my face. My biggest mistake? Thinking I could use it for contouring. So instead of throwing it out I stared at it and thought "It's like a giant eyeshadow quad" and boom I've converted it to just that. I love how super shimmery and shiny it is and it just makes my whole look for that day just glowy. I think this would be a great bronzer for lighter skin tones so anyone who is tan and medium skin toned like me, stay away.

Moving on now to my non-beauty favorites:

6. This bottle is the Vaseline Total Moisture Cocoa Radiant Rich Feeling Lotion. I have a skin condition called keratosis pilaris which is slangly called "chicken skin" on my arms and thighs. It's when my body produces too much keratin and traps the hair folicles inside my pores therefore creating bumps all over my skin. There is no cure or definite treatment for it but the only way of keep it tamed is using my own treatment regime. KP is a genetic condition and affects 50% of people. Maybe I'll do a post on how I keep mine maintained the best I can but anyways this lotion actually really helps! I always need moisture because I have such dry dry skin. I don't know who I heard this lotion from (JLovesMac?) but I had to get it. It is so super moisturizing and smells super good. My skins feels so replenished and so much better. It softens up my KP a lot. Now all I need to do is find a product that makes it disappear. Anyways I love this lotion a lot and for people who are suffering dry skin, this product is the one for you.

7. My next favorite product is the Burt's Bees Radiance Day Cream & Night Cream. I've had these products for a long time because they just last forever. I mean I'm reaching the bottom now and I started using these creams in like August 2012 so that says a lot. I love the fact that they have separate creams for day and night. I just think it's so cute. While they both have royal jelly, the day cream has a different consistency from then night cream. The day cream is much more liquidy and perfect for the day time because it spreads on your face nicely and gives you the moisture that you need for the day. I feel like my skin just drinks it all in because throughout the day, with makeup on it feels super moisturizing and I have such dry skin on my face so it's perfect. Whereas the night cream has a thicker and creamier consistency. It gives the same moisturization but it lasts all night long and I even still feel it in the morning. I love it!

8. This next product is a kind of favorite and not...and it's the Nelson's Pure & Clear Acne Treatment Gel. When I first got it from Jalisa I was suffering from acne breakouts on my skin. This year has been the first time in my life I've ever experienced so much acne so naturally I was panicing. So she gave me this gel saying it did make her own blemishes go away. I've been using it everyday since and it did make the spots appear smaller and less red. But then a couple of weeks ago I've been getting more acne around the areas that I would apply the gel on, which is around my cheeks and forehead. So I've stopped using the gel and the acne is going away. This product was a favorite and I felt it wouldn't be right if I did not include it. I guess my skin reacted to it way after it did some good on my skin so I won't be using this again.

9. I have been OBSESSED with the Sims 3. Ever since I came home from college I've been wanting to play my sims. So I wanted to redownload my old Sims 2 c.d.'s and I found out that they were thoroughly scratched. After a couple of days I did find a way to make them download onto my desktop and work so I enjoyed playing that for a couple of days. But the desktop I had been using was my dad's which is in his room. He took out my old desktop in my room when I got my Mac last summer and I tried to hook it up again but I have no idea where he put the wires. Thanks dad. Anyways during the time I couldn't figure out a way to play the Sims 2, Jalisa gave me her Sim 3 disks. I was hesitant at first because I've seen the play and it looked ridiculous. I hated it, it was weird and not like Sims 2 at all. But I kept it anyways just in case the Sims 2 c.d.'s wouldn't work. So my mom kicked me out of her room while I was in the midst of playing my sims (it was 10 p.m.) and I was still itching to play so I caved in and downloaded the Sims 3. Changed. My. Life. Forever. The graphics are totally different, the "missions" are fun, the careers are amazing, I loved making so many families, and it just keeps me up playing all night. I do hate story progression so I never turn it on and that the whole town continues to age and do whatever it wants without you playing it. It's hard in that sense and because I have about 5 different generations of families, the game is a challenge for me. I love this game to pieces. After this I'm probably going to go play it...

Here I have some unpictured favorites:

10. Now I've always had The Office on the list of T.V. shows that I've wanted to watch. I seriously have lists for everything that this show was buried away until Jalisa told me she started watching it and that I should too. So I found it on Netflix and decided why not. I love this show! I love every single storyline and the humor is my type of humor. -SPOILER ALERT- I love the Jim and Pam storyline. They have such a real and honest relationship and I loved how they wrapped up their story in Season 9 because just like in every couple's relationships there are hardships. I like how they transitioned that. I hated how the show butchered the Andy and Erin love line. I mean I watched for like five seasons to have them finally together and then break up in the span of what four episodes? Sometimes I hated Phyllis with a passion because she was so creepily but softly horrible. I felt like she just was cynical about every single thing. And whenever her job was in danger she always had this annoying face when she shoots down every idea that could potentially help her out. But by the end of the last season she was a lot better. B.J. Novak and Mindy Kaling were so fun to watch on screen and I'm secretly rooting for them to just get married. Stanley and Meredith are absolutely hilarious in their own ways. Dwight and Angela's love line had me banging my head against the wall but they ended up together (THANK GOD BECAUSE THEY FIT EACH OTHER SO WELL) and I ended up loving Dwight. When Michael left in Season 7, I cried so hard from the minute it started to when it ended. I was so happy that Michael found Holly but I was so sad he left. It was a lot of crying for me and this is supposed to be a comedy. I love Michael and his personality and in the last two of the nine seasons, I just found myself missing him. It didn't mean that season 8 and 9 weren't great but it would have been amazing with Michael there. I'm glad he showed up in the final episodes of the series and I cried like a baby. Overall The Office was an amazing series. I was sad that went and gone without me ever actually watching it on T.V. but nonetheless I was happy to have finished it. I would recommend this to anyone. Here's a little description of The Office that wiki provides:

"The series depicts the everyday lives of office employees in the Scranton, Pennsylvania branch of the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Company. To simulate the look of an actual documentary, it is filmed in a single-camera setup, without a studio audience or a laugh track."

11. Another T.V. show that I've been loving has been the korean drama Scent Of A Woman. With my millions of lists, this drama was next in line for me to watch. I heard good things about it and I decided to give it a go. I really like it and finished the series in around a week and it consists of 16 episodes. It had its usual korean drama flair, a hot guy that falls in love with the awesome main character, a hot girl who's insanely jealous of their love, and the third wheel guy who loves the main character girl but she doesn't love him back. It has it's own twists and parts where I just want to yell at my scream. It's dramatic and cute in its own sense so if you like that, check out this drama. I'll give you a short summary that wiki provides for you below:

"Scent of a Woman is a romantic-melodrama that depicts the life of a 30'ish woman who works as a low-level clerk. She works hard, but lives her life without much joy. She then learns that she is dying. The woman decides to travel aboard to find happiness ..."

12. My brother loves Glee and I used to make fun of him for it because if you ever see him he just doesn't look like the person to like such a show. But he loves it so he kept urging me to watch it and I decided to. I love Glee and all the music. I'm obsessed with all their covers and one particular song I love is "Don't Rain On My Parade" sung by Lea Michele and originally from the musical Funny Girl. I just thought she sounded so amazing in her own rendition and I just could not stop playing it. I would play it in the car alone on full blast and sing along with her. She's an amazing singer and I'm still obsessed with it.

13. My final favorites are three youtubers that I've recently come across and fell in love with. From top to bottom are TheStyleDiet, LeFloofTV, and Melphms. TheStyleDiet is Anna Saccone and she's a beauty guru that I've fallen in love with for this month. I just love to hear her speak about beauty products, show her outfit of the days, her hauls, and her tutorials. She's informative and fun. She's also from LaFloofTV which is an everyday blog with her husband Jonathan Joly, their daughter Emilia, and their six cute dogs. They are from Ireland and really fun to watch. I found them from watching itsjudylife when they went to Ireland. Their baby Emilia is SO cute and their dogs are adorable. They are super fun to watch and are just as good as itsjudyslife. My last youtuber is Melmphs and she has this great southern accent that I love to fall asleep to. It's weird I know but I do watch all her beauty videos and I thoroughly enjoy her Friday Favorites & Possible Poos! videos and she's just so funny and sweet, I love it. Check out these awesome youtubers!

And that is the end of my favorites for the month of June! If you like any of these products/not products than comment below! Let us know what you think!!
