Catching Up! July & August 2015 Ipsy Glam Bags

Yes I know, I'm horrible at keeping up with my Ipsy bags, but I've just been in such a rut with the blog! I've been trying to get out of the rut but nothing gives me inspiration. So I decided that I might as well try to get out of the rut by starting with the Ipsy bags. Now before the September bag comes along and I'm even more late, let's talk about the July and August Ipsy bags!

First up is the July bag. The theme for July was Summer Lovin' and the bag really embodied what I feel summer is. The bag has this unique zig zag print with such bright and fun colors. I think it's such a cute bag. The material is also soft.

As for the August bag, the theme was Prep School. The bag's design is this awesome houndstooth pattern and has pink detailing. It is super cute and the material is actually a plastic one. It seems more durable than the soft material of the July bag. This bag is really perfect for that back to school theme.

As always, there are five beauty items in each bag that you can receive based on your answers on their beauty quiz. So if you want to know what I got in my bag for July (and August) please click on the read more!

Flower Beauty Cosmetics: Overview

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post! Today, I have an overview of a beauty brand to go in depth about today. And that beauty brand is Flower Beauty which is a brand made by Drew Barrymore. I was super intrigued by this makeup brand because not only is it named Flower Beauty and has beautiful flower names for many of its products, but its entire  premise is that it offers quality products at a drugstore price and its made in the USA.

Now Flower Beauty has been out for a while and I've had the products I'll be discussing for a while but I wanted to really utilize them before I give my opinion on the brand. To buy these products, Flower Beauty only sells at Walmart and I don't really have a Walmart easily accessible to me so I had to order online which to me is a downfall. So I tried to buy items that I knew I would be using often and based my decisions on how it looked on the website.

So if you want to learn what I think about the Flower Beauty brand and the cosmetics I bought, click on read more!

June 2015 Ipsy Glam Bag: Swim Into Beauty

Hello everyone! Since the "revamp" and "name change", I wanted to at least get my Ipsy blog posts up kind sort of on time (hehe). So for the month of June Ipsy's theme was named 'Swim Into Beauty'. I actually didn't get to read the car that came along with the bag because I accidentally threw it out! Nevertheless, I really liked the bag for this month.

The material of the bag is quite different from previous bags. While it is black all around, the front of the bag has the word Ipsy embossed all over and is a different material from its background. The zipper is a bright coral which I love. I still can't quite put my finger to what the material is but it feels like it is waterproof. I bet all this information was in the card...

Anyways, as per usual, you receive five beauty items in your bag each month for only $10! I've been really impressed with Ipsy so far and I have high hopes for what's in my bag this month. So please click on read more to find out more!

My First MAC Lipsticks: Creme In Your Coffee, Rebel, Plumful, & Ruby Woo

Isn't it crazy that with an excessive makeup collection like mine that I don't own any MAC Lipsticks at all? Well now, ladies and gents, I own four!

The lipstick colors that I'm going to feature in this post are Creme In Your Coffee, RebelPalmful, and Ruby Woo. All of these lipsticks were gifted by my very good friends who I love, appreciate, and understand my love (obsession) with makeup. Thanks you guys!

So check out my thoughts on each lipstick and what they look like on my lips. I'm so excited to share this with you all.

Claims: Colour plus texture for the lips! Stands out on the runway. Simmers on the street. What made M-A-C- famous.

Beauty Blunder: E.L.F. Lip Stain

Hello wonderful readers of our blog! It has been a while since I last did a Beauty Blunder! I love doing these posts because it not only gives me reflection on the products that I've bought but it also gives our readers a chance to either stay away from these beauty blunders or give them a try for themselves. I have a cheap drugstore product to talk about today and it is the E.LF. Lip Stain in Berry Blush.

This lip stain only costs $2 at Target or on the E.L.F. website so I don't feel as bad that this turned out to be a blunder but I had high hopes for it because it seemed like it would work. This lip stain looks just like a marker and if you remember when Revlon came out with a marker style lip stain a couple of years ago, then it is basically the same thing. Although, I should have learned my lesson with it because I did not like those Revlon lip stains at all. But the Revlon ones cost like probably $6 to $8 so I'm happy that I didn't spend that much this time.

Claims: Get beautiful precision color that lasts for hours with this pigment rich lip stain marker. The pen-like tip lets you draw on color easily for a streak & smudge free professional look. Infused with nourishing Vitamin E to hydrate and moisturize lips.

The claims sounded really great but we know its a blunder so if you want to know more about my thoughts and experience with this product, click on read more!
