Review: Colourpop Cosmetics Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick

Happy Monday beautiful's! Let's grab a cup of coffee and talk about the one beauty item that I cannot wait to get more of, liquid lipsticks. Okay, so let's think about around the end of May into June when Colourpop Cosmetics launched their own line of Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks. Here are the top three thoughts that crossed my mind.

1) How much is it?!

2) What are the color shades?!

3) HOW CAN I BUY THIS RIGHT NOW?!?!?!?

For hours, I researched on Youtube for any lip swatches of all the shades Colourpop was intending to release so that I could pick out the colors that I really wanted. If I had it my way I would have honestly bought the entire line because each was only $6 but of course I'm a broke college student and if I were to do that, no matter how amazing the price was, it seriously takes a toll on my wallet. So after hours of searching I narrowed down my choices to five that I thought I would wear often.

But getting those five were a nightmare. The moment the liquid lipsticks launched on their website, it was impossible to get any order in. But I persevered on because that's what a makeup enthusiast (aka addict) does! I WANTED--nope NEEDED these liquid lipsticks and I didn't care how long it would take for me to get them. After probably two whole hours on the website, I finally got to place my order!

So the five liquid lipsticks that I purchased are Tulle, Bumble, Trap, Highball and LAX. These are the colors that I thought I would wear the heck out of. So please click on read more if you want to find out my thoughts on these Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks!

September 2015 Ipsy Glam Bag: Face Fashion

Hello everybody and welcome back to the blog. Today's post is all about the September 2015 Ipsy Bag. It's been a while since I've been on time right? But hey I'm trying! For this month's Ipsy bag the theme is Face Fashion.

The bag's design for this month is so pretty and fashionable! It's a longer bag in comparison to the other bags from previous months. The color of the bag is a beautiful rose gold (which I love) and has two different types of texture. The main point of the bag is the design of the front which is a textured chevron and has subtle gold metallic reflects. The back as well as the upper zipper front of the bag is a plain shiny rose gold. I personally really like this bag and I like that it's a different size this month. It's really pretty and reflects well on the name of the theme.

As usual, Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription service, that tailors to your personal style/beauty quiz. You will receive five different beauty items each month for only $10. I've been impressed with Ipsy so far so let's see if Ipsy has impressed me again.

Old Navy Haul: Awesome Sales!

Hello everybody! Sorry it's been a while but midterms have me going crazy! I need to blog to let my stress go so here I have a little haul from Old Navy! I had to get some basics since surprisingly in my wardrobe I barely have any and Old Navy was having amazing sales and deals at the time. So please continue to scroll down and check out what I got from Old Navy!

This peach/coral top is the Women's Boyfriend Tee. It's a little more orange in person but other than that I love the color of this top. It's super basic and the material is a mixture of an athletic material and cotton.

Catching Up! July & August 2015 Ipsy Glam Bags

Yes I know, I'm horrible at keeping up with my Ipsy bags, but I've just been in such a rut with the blog! I've been trying to get out of the rut but nothing gives me inspiration. So I decided that I might as well try to get out of the rut by starting with the Ipsy bags. Now before the September bag comes along and I'm even more late, let's talk about the July and August Ipsy bags!

First up is the July bag. The theme for July was Summer Lovin' and the bag really embodied what I feel summer is. The bag has this unique zig zag print with such bright and fun colors. I think it's such a cute bag. The material is also soft.

As for the August bag, the theme was Prep School. The bag's design is this awesome houndstooth pattern and has pink detailing. It is super cute and the material is actually a plastic one. It seems more durable than the soft material of the July bag. This bag is really perfect for that back to school theme.

As always, there are five beauty items in each bag that you can receive based on your answers on their beauty quiz. So if you want to know what I got in my bag for July (and August) please click on the read more!

Flower Beauty Cosmetics: Overview

Hello everybody and welcome back to another blog post! Today, I have an overview of a beauty brand to go in depth about today. And that beauty brand is Flower Beauty which is a brand made by Drew Barrymore. I was super intrigued by this makeup brand because not only is it named Flower Beauty and has beautiful flower names for many of its products, but its entire  premise is that it offers quality products at a drugstore price and its made in the USA.

Now Flower Beauty has been out for a while and I've had the products I'll be discussing for a while but I wanted to really utilize them before I give my opinion on the brand. To buy these products, Flower Beauty only sells at Walmart and I don't really have a Walmart easily accessible to me so I had to order online which to me is a downfall. So I tried to buy items that I knew I would be using often and based my decisions on how it looked on the website.

So if you want to learn what I think about the Flower Beauty brand and the cosmetics I bought, click on read more!

June 2015 Ipsy Glam Bag: Swim Into Beauty

Hello everyone! Since the "revamp" and "name change", I wanted to at least get my Ipsy blog posts up kind sort of on time (hehe). So for the month of June Ipsy's theme was named 'Swim Into Beauty'. I actually didn't get to read the car that came along with the bag because I accidentally threw it out! Nevertheless, I really liked the bag for this month.

The material of the bag is quite different from previous bags. While it is black all around, the front of the bag has the word Ipsy embossed all over and is a different material from its background. The zipper is a bright coral which I love. I still can't quite put my finger to what the material is but it feels like it is waterproof. I bet all this information was in the card...

Anyways, as per usual, you receive five beauty items in your bag each month for only $10! I've been really impressed with Ipsy so far and I have high hopes for what's in my bag this month. So please click on read more to find out more!

My First MAC Lipsticks: Creme In Your Coffee, Rebel, Plumful, & Ruby Woo

Isn't it crazy that with an excessive makeup collection like mine that I don't own any MAC Lipsticks at all? Well now, ladies and gents, I own four!

The lipstick colors that I'm going to feature in this post are Creme In Your Coffee, RebelPalmful, and Ruby Woo. All of these lipsticks were gifted by my very good friends who I love, appreciate, and understand my love (obsession) with makeup. Thanks you guys!

So check out my thoughts on each lipstick and what they look like on my lips. I'm so excited to share this with you all.

Claims: Colour plus texture for the lips! Stands out on the runway. Simmers on the street. What made M-A-C- famous.

Beauty Blunder: E.L.F. Lip Stain

Hello wonderful readers of our blog! It has been a while since I last did a Beauty Blunder! I love doing these posts because it not only gives me reflection on the products that I've bought but it also gives our readers a chance to either stay away from these beauty blunders or give them a try for themselves. I have a cheap drugstore product to talk about today and it is the E.LF. Lip Stain in Berry Blush.

This lip stain only costs $2 at Target or on the E.L.F. website so I don't feel as bad that this turned out to be a blunder but I had high hopes for it because it seemed like it would work. This lip stain looks just like a marker and if you remember when Revlon came out with a marker style lip stain a couple of years ago, then it is basically the same thing. Although, I should have learned my lesson with it because I did not like those Revlon lip stains at all. But the Revlon ones cost like probably $6 to $8 so I'm happy that I didn't spend that much this time.

Claims: Get beautiful precision color that lasts for hours with this pigment rich lip stain marker. The pen-like tip lets you draw on color easily for a streak & smudge free professional look. Infused with nourishing Vitamin E to hydrate and moisturize lips.

The claims sounded really great but we know its a blunder so if you want to know more about my thoughts and experience with this product, click on read more!

Name Change?!?! + Revamp

Hey everybody! And if you're wondering what happened?! Whose blog is this?! Where's Amaryllis Living?! IT'S JUST DAISY?! WHHAATTTT?!

Yes, it is just me and welcome to the newly named blog, daisydaisydaisies! It's been a while now since I've been the only one posting on the blog, so after careful thought and consideration, I decided to go on ahead and make this my own personal blog.

It'll be just like Amaryllis Living, with all the same beauty, fashion, and lifestyle posts, now with just my own personal spin and personal life in the mix. The blog will also be going through renovations and revamping. For now, I have most of what I want on it with the exception of some key details but that will be coming up very soon. Also, there are a lot of pictures that I took with the tag Amaryllis Living, on them. Please don't mind it! I don't know if I feel like fixing the tag on the photos or just leaving them (most likely the later). So for now, the blog is under...construction? But I will be posting up a blog post very soon!

And that's really it! I hope you guys will still support me! Please follow me here on the new blog as well as on my new Bloglovin' link which you can find on the right side of your screen under my face ;)

All my social media links will be up soon! I'll be getting an instagram and possibly a twitter specifically for this blog. Thanks for reading!

Love Always,

April & May 2015 Ipsy Glam Bag: Beautifully Bohemian & Jetsetter

I know I know, I need to stop being behind on my ipsy glam bags but I can't help it! Things pile up and honestly I just forget to post. So this month is going to be another double whammy (hope you all don't mind). By the way, HOW ABSOLUTELY CUTE ARE THESE BAGS?! The May Ipsy bag is by far my favorite! I'm currently using it as an everyday makeup bag.

For the month of April, Ipsy's theme was called Beautifully Bohemian. As always, each Ipsy bag comes with five products suited to your beauty quiz. If you want to find out what I received for the months of April and May click on read more!

Lashes & Lingerie: Adore Me Lingerie

(courtesy of: Adore Me)

Let's be honest. We all love to dress up on the outside but once in a while we have to treat ourselves by dressing up on the inside. #treatyoself

I was inspired by Adore Me to participate in their Lashes & Lingerie challenge and create amazing beauty looks that I think you all would enjoy. Adore Me is a store as well as a monthly subscription box that is all about the lingerie. It caters to all women of sizes with their range starting from size XS - 6XL, which in my opinion is absolutely amazing. They sell bras, panties, swimwear, corsets, and lingerie. With their amazing variety, you can either buy individual pieces or participate in their monthly subscription service.

In the subscription service, you can either opt to be a VIP member or a Pay As You Go member. Either member must take the style profile quiz in order for Adore Me to construct your unique box. After, each month you'll receive a showroom of what your lingerie of the month will be. Now the subscription service retails for $39.95. There are specific benefits when it comes to being a VIP member or a Pay As You Go Member. As a Pay As You Go Member, you get to have a beauty room each month and you get free shipping and exchanges. Whereas, with the VIP member benefits, you get a showroom each month, your first box is only $24.95 and every sixth box you get is free, you get $10 off any style any time, free shipping and exchanges, exclusive access to VIP only sales and sets, and finally you get to skip a month if you don't like what you see in your showroom. The company seems very flexible with how their membership and benefits work and overall the service seems easy.

If you like the premise around Adore Me, then click on read more to see the inspirations that I drew up for their Lashes & Lingerie Challenge.

Colourpop Cosmetics: Haul & Review

Hello lovelies and welcome back to the blog. Lately, there has been a buzz going around about this makeup brand called Colourpop Cosmetics and of course being me, I had to get on the bandwagon. Two of my favorite Youtubers even collaborated with Colourpop and I've seen plenty of swatches and reviews from other Youtubers, so I wanted to try them out for myself.

I also really loved learning about Colourpop Cosmetics since it wasn't a known name brand to me like the high end NARS brand or the drugstore brand Maybelline is to me. You can learn more about them on their website but I'll give you my short hand version. Basically, this company was born and made in the United States. They don't test on animals, which is awesome, and they believe in luxury items for the price of dirt cheap makeup. Which I, as a massive makeup consumer who likes to pretend she has all this money for makeup, absolutely cherish and appreciate.

Well anyways during the holidays, Colourpop brought out a new collection of lippie stix's and Super Shock shadows that looked absolutely amazing and festive, that I at least had to pick some up. I ended up getting a holiday collection set for the eyeshadows but didn't pick up the set for the lippie stix's but I did get some permanent collection lippie stix's instead.

So if you want to check out what I got in my first ever (and probably not my last) Colourpop Cosmetics haul, then please click on Read More below!

February & March 2015 Ipsy Bag: #IpsyLove & Floral Fantasy

I am ridiculously late on these Ipsy bags but I figured I would combine them for double the Ipsy fun (and to save myself from having to make two separate blog posts #lazy)! I don't know if you guys actually enjoy these Ipsy posts but if you do leave a comment down below! I would so much appreciate it.

Let's first start with the February Ipsy bag. The theme of this bag is #IpsyLove. Very fitting for Valentine's Day and a month filled with love. As per usual, each bag comes with five beauty items. So let's check them out!

Happy New Years and welcome to 2015! I hope everyone is ready to start afresh and new for the New Year and this month's Ipsy bag is all about the fresh start. I am absolutely in love with the bag for this month. I love the color scheme and the design of the bag. It's by far one of my favorites since joining Ipsy.

As per usual, the bag comes with five items that can range from makeup to skincare and to even hair care. I'm super excited to see what I got so let's get on with this bag!

Review & Swatches: Rimmel Showoff Matte Lip Velvet's

Hello everyone and welcome back to a review and swatches post! Today, I'll be talking about the new Rimmel Showoff Matte Lip Velvet's. These are fairly new at the drugstore and are the sister product to the Rimmel Showoff Lip Lacquers that came out when we first started our blog. Those lip lacquers may be our first blog post ever, so getting the new ones felt pretty sentimental...well to me it does.

Anyways, I heard about these new Rimmel Showoff's from a number of Youtube videos but I felt, knowing my area, that it would have probably been sold out already. So honestly I wasn't even going to buy them. But then, I went to Walgreens to get batteries for my brother's Christmas present (which is a coin counter lol) and literally saw all the new Rimmel Showoffs, completely in stock. Without even hesitating, I got three of the colors that I was most interested in out of the five shades they offered. The three colors that I got are Atomic Rose, Meteoric Matte, and Burning Lava. I am so super excited about these new lippies and so here are the claims.

Claims: Matte to the future! Show off lip color now with new velvety matte finish. Weightless liquid colour with a velvety smooth finish. Earth-shattering intense colour stays true for up to 8 hours. Moisturizing formula instantly increases lip moisture by 31%.

So those are all the claims, let's get on with the review!

The theme for this month's Ipsy is Thinking of You. The bag, as per usual, comes with five items. Once again, Ipsy did not disappoint me this month!

Rimmel BB Cream Matte & Radiance Review

Hello everybody! I have a new product to review today it is the Rimmel BB Cream in Matte and Radiance. I saw these new BB Creams while I was gift shopping at Ulta and it looked like the Rimmel Stay Matte foundation, so I thought it would be an interesting thing to try.

Both BB Cream's have similar packaging except for the Radiance BB Cream having an orange lid and the Matte BB Cream having a purple lid. They both have similar claims as well.

To read more about these BB Creams, please click on read more.

November 2014 Ipsy Bag: Girl Meets Glitter

Hello everyone and welcome to another month of Ipsy! For this November month, the theme was Girl Meets Glitter which is very fitting for the upcoming holidays. The bag came in a silver glitter pouch with hot pink zipper lining. The bag was also in collaboration with Forever 21.

The bag is okay in my mind but it's definitely not my favorite style out of all the bag I've received thus far. For some reason it kind of reminds me of Barbie and her accessories, lol I don't know why but it does...does anyone else think this way? Hehe, anyways as per usual the bag comes with five personalized beauty items and of course I took a sneak peek in the glam room and was super pleased to see the items that I got.

So if you want to see the beauty items that I got in my bag this month, please click on the read more!

Consenescere: Happy Holidays & NYC Fun

Happy Holidays! Christmas was great this year and I hope you all had a great holiday as well.  Oh, and Happy New Year! It's 2015!!! It's crazy how fast this year has gone by and just like everyone else I hope, I'm excited for a new year to begin.

I recently went to New York City once again because I live so close by, and went to go see the Christmas Spectacular at the Radio City Music Hall, ice skate at Bryant Park, and eat dinner at The View restaurant at the Marriott Hotel in Times Square. It was a super busy day and the events kind of came together rather quickly because I wasn't too sure what I was doing but I had fun nonetheless. I took some pictures with my new camera that I got for Christmas (thanks bro!) and I'm still testing it out so bare with these pics lol!
