Another month, another Ipsy bag! This time we received the December or the end of the year Ipsy bag. The theme is called "With Love From Ipsy" and correlates with the holidays that are coming around the corner.
The bag design is a beautiful bright holiday red and is a pouch shape instead of the classic rectangle shape Ipsy bags usually have. It also has a quilt pattern on the front and back but the material is shiny like plastic. I think that it's cute but to me it feels a bit gaudy.
As per usual, Ipsy glam bag is a monthly beauty description service that tailors to your beauty/style quiz. You will receive five different beauty items each month for only $10. So if you want to see what I received in this month's bag please click on read more!
Claims: This mask helps to revitalize environmentally stressed, dry complexions. With each use, skin is infused with hydration and begins to glow. Over time, the fine lines and creases become less visible. Instantly calms redness and softens skin with Algae extract. It delivers potent antioxidant properties with Japanese Green Tea. Helps to balance stressed skin with Jasmine Absolute.
This is a very interesting mask. The texture of it is a little thick, like a cream moisturizer instead of it being like a clay mask. It very much feels like a sheet mask where it feels cooling and refreshing on the skin. Also, it smells like Lush products! Which smells very clean and a little bit of fruit.
What I noticed from this mask after putting it on is that it made me feel calm and refreshed. It's a cold cream and it just feels nice to put all over the skin especially in the morning. Since this mask isn't super high maintenance and you can use it as a moisturizer, it is easily one of the better skin care masks that I have tried. I'm going to continue to use this mask sample up until it is done because so far so great!
The next item is the Peony Cosmetics Shadow Trio.
Claims: A highly pigmented palette of three deep, after-dark shades in a nourishing, natural base that keeps it bendable and velvety smooth. These wearable shadows are formulated with silicon-coated micronized pigments and healthy kaolin clay for a seamless, silky texture that lasts up to 8 hours. Pure kaolin clay helps absorb excess oil. Fragrance free. No parabens.
This is the first time that I've heard of Peony Cosmetics and since I'm an eye shadow lover, I was super excited to receive this in my bag.
The shades in this trio that you receive are great everyday colors like a nice cream, a gold, and a dark brown. They all have a sheen to them so they aren't matte nor glittery.

These are very creamy and pigmented. I was pleasantly surprised with them. They blended well on the lids. With or without eyeshadow primer, they performed well on the lids. I'm really happy with this trio and would be interested in trying out other Peony Cosmetics products.
The third product that I received is the Briogeo Curl Charisma Leave In Creme.
Claims: A finishing creme for curly to wavy hair that hydrates, defines, and de-frizzles your curls. It's fortified with frizz-deterring rice amino acids, avocado oil, and nourishing quinoa extract to nurture and enhance the texture of your locks. Fights frizz all day. Enhances the form, definition, softness, and hydration of curls. Cruelty-free.
I've always said that I'm not really into hair care and yet I still receive them in my bag. But of course I have to try this out because it would be a total waste if I didn't! The first thing that I noticed was the scent and texture of this hair product. While it is a cream, it is a bit more liquidy with a slight floral scent. I actually like that because when I put this in my hair it doesn't weigh it down.
I concentrated the product in the back of my hair where I have the most dryness. I didn't want to try it on top of my head just in case it would make it oily the next day. You have to use this product on freshly washed and damped hair.
Once the leave in cream dry, my hair did feel a little bit sticky. But after letting it completely over dry, the back part of my hair did feel softer. Now I'm intrigued to try this all over my hair. So far, not bad!
Next up is the Pacifica Power of Love Natural Lipstick. The color that I received this in is the shade Sweet One.
Claims: Amazingly creamy, highly-pigmented, and naturally moisturizing- this lipstick is packed with all the vitamins and antioxidants your lips crave. Made with coconut oil, shea butter, and vitamin E. 100% Vegan and Cruelty-free. Moisturizing and creamy. Highly pigmented color. Packed with vitamins and antioxidants.
Once I saw the shade of this lipstick, I fell in love because it is so my color! The shade I received, Sweet One, is this beautiful brown pink which I've been so into lately. The lipstick is made by Pacifica and I'm pretty sure this is the first time that I'm trying a lipstick product from them. I did try a single eyeshadow from this brand before and I remember liking it.
It is super creamy, pigmented, and has a satin finish. This glided on the lips really well and I honestly love how comfortable it is. While it doesn't last very long, I don't mind having to reapply throughout the day. Overall, this might be one of my go to lipsticks from now on!
And the final product that I received in this bag is the Elizabeth Mott Thank Me Later Eye Shadow Primer.
Claims: This silky blend dries transparent and preps your lids for a smooth and even application. Your favorite eye shadows will intensely come to life. But most importantly, it protects your eye makeup all day, so you can get back to the important things in life (cat videos, selfies, and your roommate's last piece of chocolate). Intensifies eye shadow. Crease-free. Lightweight.
First off I just have to say this little eye primer has such a cute packaging and I'm such a huge sucker for cute packaging.
The consistency of this primer has a silicone feel to it and was easy to apply on to the lids. Once I let this dry, it did not feel tacky on the lids which I liked. Shadows applied on well and I did not see any patchiness at all.
As for the longevity of this eye primer, it did really well throughout the day. I found that it made my eye shadow last and there was no creasing at all. I really really like this eye shadow primer and will continue to use it!
