January 2015 Ipsy Bag: Fresh Start

Happy New Years and welcome to 2015! I hope everyone is ready to start afresh and new for the New Year and this month's Ipsy bag is all about the fresh start. I am absolutely in love with the bag for this month. I love the color scheme and the design of the bag. It's by far one of my favorites since joining Ipsy.

As per usual, the bag comes with five items that can range from makeup to skincare and to even hair care. I'm super excited to see what I got so let's get on with this bag!

February Drugstore Makeup Find Of The Month: Real Techniques, NYC, & Wet N' Wild

Hello everyone and welcome back to another makeup find of the month! Hurray for the consistency. February is almost over and I found some interesting things at the drugstore that I would like to share.

First up is this Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I've been wanting this for a while and when it first came out, I couldn't find it anywhere! After months and months since its been out I finally found it at Ulta, the only one left in the stand, and I grabbed it and bought it.

I was super excited to finally own it because from what I've heard it's a pretty comparable dupe to the beauty blender. Now, I don't own the beauty blender but I hope to one day but this sponge is a much cheaper alternative. This only retails for $6! It was practically a steal.

As you can see this sponge has a much different shape from the beauty blender. It has a flat edge which it says helps with contouring around the eyes and nose. The sides of it blends large areas of the face and the tip covers imperfections (thank god for the diagram on the back of the packaging).

So far, this is an absolutely amazing sponge. You have to damp it to get its full effect and I was so amazed at how much bigger the sponge got once it was wet. Its twice the size from the original! It feels super nice on my skin and my foundation looks ten times better applied with this. I've really only used it for my foundation and haven't tried contouring with it or anything but so far so good! If you want a good quality beauty sponge I suggest you pick up this one!

The next beauty item I got at the drugstore this month is the NYC City Proof Twistable Intense Lip Color.
