Hello my lovelies! This blog post is all about the Kathleenlights x Colourpop Collaboration. I adore Kathleenlights and just had to get both of her collabs. For the first collaboration I got the Where The Light Is Super Shock eyeshadow squad and the Lumiere matte lippie stix. From the second collaboration, I picked up the Where The Night Is Super Shock eyeshadow quad and the Lumiere 2 Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick. She came out two more lippie stix from this second collection but I didn't get it (but honestly I'm thinking about buying them just because I've seen awesome swatches of them!).

First up is the Where The Light Is Super Shock eyeshadow quad. These quads include four Super Shock eyeshadows with a mixture of mattes, a pearlized finish, and metallic finish shadows.
Claims: A foursome created by the only and only Kathleen Lights perfect for creating her signature look: warm, bronzy gold smokey eyes. You can go bold or subtle with these shades! " I always tell my subscribers to be positive individuals in life and to always keep their heart and mind in the light, never in the darkness. That is something I have always believed in. " - Kathleen Lights
The four shades in this quad are Glow, Cornelius, Kathleenlights, and Blaze. This is a very warm and bronzy tone palette. Perfect for an everyday look as well as keeping it for a nice smokey brown night look. Let's go through each individual shadow.
The first shade in this quad is Glow. This is described as a "creamy vanilla with a matte finish".
Here is what the shadow looks like swatched. It is much whiter on the skin and while it is a nice matte finish it is dry and took a couple of swatching over before giving even pigmentation. I think this works best with lighter skin tones but for anyone darker it may look too chalky. I like to use this as a highlight for my brow bone as well as for the inner corner of the eyes.
The next shadow is Cornelius. This eyeshadow is described as a "mid-tone warm caramel with a matte finish".
This is what Cornelius looks like watched on my skin. This is a nice warm brown matte shade. I really enjoyed used this as a blending color in my crease area and I love how warm it is. While it is a matte shade, it blended a lot easier than Glow and was much more pigmented. This lasted all day as a crease color and as an all over lid shade for a simple look.
Next up is the shade Kathleenlights. Kathleenlights is described as a "bright golden copper with a pearlized finish".
This is definitely my favorite shade out of the bunch. I mean look at it! It's a beautiful golden copper that is so pigmented and metallic, it looks foiled with just one swatch. The texture of the shadow is creamy and buttery, it goes on the lids well and blends easily too. This lasted all day on my eyelids and I did not find any creasing, fading, or fall out at all. I think that this applies the best with a finger but you can use a synthetic brush as well, which is what I've always used with these Super Shock Shadows. I truly like this shade the best and have just been using it nonstop.
And the final shade from this quad is Blaze. This shadow is described as a "coco bronze sprinkled with multi-dimensional glitter in a metallic finish".
Honestly, this shade was to me the disappointing shade of the quad. While it is very pigmented swatched on my skin and it is very creamy and bendable, it just does not look good on the eyelids. I can't layer this shadow over to deepen a look and when I put it by itself on the lids it doesn't look like much on my squinting except for the golden micro glitters. It does last long on the eyelids without creasing if you don't layer it over another shadow but other than that, it's not really my favorite shade.
And the last item that I got from this collection is the Colourpop Lippie Stix in Lumiere. Lumiere is described as a "dusty mauve pink in a matte finish".
This is what Lumiere looks like on my lips. Of course, if you've seen my review of the other shades of lippie stix's, I love the formula and texture already. It glides on so well on the lips and is comfortable. It dries down to a matte and you don't have to apply it throughout the day as often. On my skintone, this is a nice dusty mauve pink. It is a little light for my liking but it is still very flattering for an everyday look.
And that is it for the first collection! Overall, I liked the quad and the lippie stix. Their both perfect for everyday and it's just my type of color range that I wear.
Now let's move on to the second collaboration from Kathleenlights and Colourpop!
This time around we have Where The Night Is quad and an ultra matte liquid lipstick in Lumiere 2. Let's start off with the quad.
Where The Night Is is a more bold and a more dark quad in comparison to its sister quad. This time around Colourpop also allowed the individual sale of each shadow instead of having to buy the entire quad. Which I think is awesome just because the colors in this quad may turn people off and they may find one or two shades that they like. So this time they don't have to commit to the entire quad. They also did this for the Where The Light Is quad which is great because I can just repurchase Kathleenlights (aka my fave from the other quad) without having to get the quad again.
This time theres no description next to this quad but the four shades are named Porter, Weenie, Telepathy, and Midnight. This is a very deep and vibrantly colored quad. So much the opposite from Where The Light Is but is still warm toned. I'm very excited for these colors so let's talk about each individual shade.
The first shade I have is Porter. Porter is a "warm burgundy with gold multi-dimensional gold glitter on top in a metallic finish".
Let me just tell you that this swatch on my skin was one swatch. This is a crazy pigmented shade and super creamy as well. I love love love burgundy colors and I love the the gold glitter in it. It's not too overpowering at all. This shade doesn't crease and lasted all day for me. It's also one of those eyeshadows that you can easily blend out and make it look like you spent on your eye look all day. I love a smoky burgundy eye look!
The next eyeshadow is Weenie. Weenie is described as a "pinky rose gold in a pearlized finish".
This is easiest the most wearable and prettiest shade from the quad. I have been loving pinky rose gold shades for an everyday look and it is just so pretty. It layers on really well and is just soooooooo creamy. It doesn't crease and of course lasts all day. This really pops when you use your fingers to apply on the lids. This is definitely my fave in this quad.
The third shade is called Telepathy. This is described as "a bright gold with a green undertone in an ultra metallic finish".
This is easily the MOST interesting shade of eyeshadow color in my entire makeup collection. And, possibly one of the hardest colors to wear in the entire quad. Can we just again appreciate the swatch on my arm. It's one swatch and as you can see it is super pigmented and creamy. While this is to me an unconventional gold, I think that it is just amazing for a night out kind of eye look. I definitely could not see myself wear this as an everyday shade but when it's on it really pops on the lids. It applied on evenly and lasted all day on me. If anything, try out this shade just for its uniqueness!
And the final shade in this quad is Midnight. Described as a "black undertone with a ton of gold glitter on top with a metallic finish", this is a great shade for deepening a look.
This is truly not your everyday black shade, it's a unique shade of black. Unlike the eyeshadow Blaze from the quad Where The Night Is, Midnight works well for layering on top of another eyeshadow for a smoked out look. This is a creamy and blendable shade and to me is actually really wearable because it's just not a stark black. I really like the theme and usage of having micro glitters implemented in the shadows because I think it adds a nice subtle way to incorporate glitter without having the mess of fall out.
And the final item that I got from this collection is the Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Lumiere 2.

And the final item that I got from this collection is the Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Lumiere 2.
This super matte liquid lipstick is described as the sister of the first Lumiere but I will say that it is a deeper dusty mauve pink.
This is what Lumiere 2 looks like on my lips. According to Kathleen, Colourpop had reformulated their liquid lipsticks. I was content with the old formula of the liquid lipsticks but it was drying. I didn't mind the dryness at all but there are people that don't like it, which I totally understand.
The new formula of these liquid lipsticks went on smoothly and just as liquidy as the previous formula. It dried down just the same as the previous formula. Lumiere 2 actually dries a little darker than what it looks like in the tube and a bit more vibrant. It felt comfortable on my lips and Kathleen was right, it is not as drying as before. It's much more comfortable and it does not settle too bad in the lines of my lips. Overall, it's an improvement but just as good for the price.
And that is it for the entire Kathleenlights collection! I adore Kathleenlights and all in all I really liked all the products and what she came up with. I have been so impressed with Colourpop and the collaborations that they have done. It's been amazing trying all this new makeup out and I can't wait for what else Colourpop has in store.
