Hi guys and welcome back to another blog post! Once again I'm reviewing my favorite type of lipstick, liquid lipsticks. These liquid lipsticks are by Ofra Cosmetics and I am so excited to talk about this brand. I hadn't really heard about Ofra Cosmetics except for some Youtube videos until I found out that Kathleenlights did a liquid lipstick collab with them. I absolutely love Kathleen and I love to support my fave Youtubers whenever they come out with a beauty product so not only did I get her liquid lipstick, I also got four more that I thought I would like.
Ofra Cosmetics was created by Ofra Gaito, a therapist and makeup artist, and had begun this brand by opening up spas. She expanded her line to what it is today with her husband David and have created a professional skin care and makeup line. According to Youtubers and Kathleen, these long lasting liquid lipsticks have a different formulation in comparison to other liquid lipsticks.
The shades that I got are Pasadena, Mocha, Americano, Miami Fever, and Honolulu (from left to right, swatched against my skin).
Claims: Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick is a one step full lip color that does not feather. These vibrant colors will give you a vivacious new look. They are creamy and soft in texture, moisturizing the lips and creating a long lasting lipstick effect. No need to use lipliner, this liquid lipstick gives a beautiful edge to your lip look! Our formula is a matte color formula. All shades contain antioxidants and Vitamin E while the formula provides a lightweight layer of lasting color to make you look stunning all day. Color will last in a perfect condition up to five hours without eating or drinking. For best results do not eat or drink for 15 minutes after applying. Please note that this is not a lip stain and does not dry completely but remains on your lips for hours!
Now that you've read the claims, lets check out each liquid lipstick that I got!
The first liquid lipstick that I have here is in the shade Pasadena. And here's what Pasadena looks like on my lips!
Pasadena can be described as a pinky nude and especially against my skin tone, can look like a milky pink.
Next up is the shade Mocha. Here's what it looks like swatched on my lips.
While it looks very similar to Pasadena, it is actually more of a brown pink. On me, this is the perfect "my lips but better" shade.
The third liquid lipstick that I have is Americano.
This shade can be described as muted burgundy red with an orange undertone. It's like a sierra or light brick color.
For my next liquid lipstick, I have the color Miami Fever, which is the liquid lipstick that Kathleenlights created with Ofra Cosmetics.
Miami Fever is described as a rust color and on me it has very strong orange and red undertones.
And the final shade that I have from Ofra Cosmetics is Honolulu.
Honolulu looks like a muted berry and while it looks more red in this picture, it actually has some gray undertones to it when it dries down.
Now for the overall review. Let's first talk about the packaging of these liquid lipsticks. When I first received these lipsticks, they didn't come in any sort of outer packaging like in individual boxes. They came as is which I was disappointed in since I paid $19.90 for each liquid lipstick.
Now for the actual packaging, I feel like it looks really cheap for the price that I paid. The tube is made of a hard plastic. The cap is also a hard plastic but with a matte black finish. The logo looks really pretty but the rest of the font looks really cheap as well. Overall, these liquid lipsticks just look cheap and not what I feel something like $19 should look like. Honestly, the Coloupop ultra matte liquid lipsticks come in better packaging and their just $6.
As for the formula itself, I really liked it. These liquid lipsticks have a particular scent to them, sweet like vanilla, but not too overwhelming. The formula of all of these are mouse like and all dry down to a matte finish. The mousse like formula makes it very comfortable to wear on the lips. It is not drying at all. I find that while they are all pigmented, they are not true to color on what it looks like printed outside of the tube.
For the lighter shades it took two layers to really get it to like the tube. And as for the darker shades and brighter shades, they looked a lot lighter on the lips then what was on the tube. The brighter and darker shades are also a little bit more thicker in consistency than the lighter shades. But, they are all layerable.
For the wear time of these liquid lipsticks, I found that they only lasted for up to four hours, with eating and talking. It wore away especially in the inner part of my lips but lasted better on the outside. I think that if you don't eat anything too oily, it could last a little longer.
All in all, I really like the color range and formulation of these liquid lipsticks but they are not worth the price at all. The packaging looks cheap, it doesn't last as long, and the shades aren't really true to color. If they were maybe the same price as the Colourpop liquid lipsticks then I would like them a lot better. If you want to try these Ofra Cosmetics Lasting Liquid Lipsticks, then I would suggest using a discount code/coupon to get them.
And that is it for my review! I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed reviewing them. If you've tried these Ofra liquid lipsticks then let me know what you thought of them down below!
