February 2016 Ipsy Glam Bag: Pretty In #IPSYPINK

Hello beautifuls! Today I bring another Ipsy Glam Bag review for the month of February. The theme of this month is #IPSYPINK and the bag for this month is an e-mail icon style envelope, which is so totally cute.

As usual, the five items in this bag are beauty related and are in conjunction with what you answered with in their beauty quiz. To find out what I got this month in my pink theme bag please click on Read More!

The first item that I have here is the Paula Dorf Baby Eyes Enhancer.

Claims: Soft, creamy eye-enhancing pencil with Vitamin E for smooth application that won't drag. Inspired by the beautiful baby eyes of Paula's nephew, this baby-toned pencil brightens the lower rim of the eye. Highlight and brighten your eyes. Contains moisturizing vitamin E.

I have never heard of Paula Dork until I received her brand in this Ipsy bag. The item that I got is called an Eye Enhancer eye pencil. The shade is a vanilla color and is meant for use on the waterline to open and brighten up the eyes.

The first thing that I noticed when I tried this pencil was that it is not creamy. It had some give to it when I tried to put it on the waterline on my eyes so I had to warm up the pencil on the back of my hand to get it going. Even so, I did not like the way this looked on my eyes. It took time for me to get pigmentation and I found that it just did not look right at all. I won't be using this pencil in the future and will probably be passing it off to someone else who could use it.

The next product I have is the Trust Fund Beauty nail polish in the shade I'm Kind Of A Big Deal

Claims: Formulated with love in the USA and EU, Trust Fund Beauty is always vegan and cruelty-free. If you're looking to minimize the toxic content you're exposed to, and you believe you can be beautiful without being cruel, Trust Fund Beauty is the indie cosmetics company for you. This baby pink shade will let everyone know that you really are a big deal! Non-toxic. Long-wear. Cruelty-free.

I have been wanting to get a Trust Fund Beauty polish ever since I saw it being in another Ipsy bag some time ago. When I saw that I finally got one I was elated. I mean can we look how cute the packaging is?! It's simplistic which I love and it's a rectangle. I love unconventional looking polishes like these and they are so much easier to store. The polish looks like a light baby pink in the bottle but on the nails it's more of a muted hot pink.

The formula of this polish is very pigmented and opaque. It's actually a thick polish and with two coats it is perfectly fine on the nails. I did find that it dried a little bit longer in comparison to a Sally Hansen nail polish but the finish had a nice sheen. I find that this nail polish lasts five days without chipping and I use my hands a lot so that was a very good thing. I do like these polishes and would be interested in trying out other shades.

Next up is the Perfectly Posh BFF: Best Face Forever Exfoliating Daily Face Wash.

Claims: BFF: Best Face Forever Exfoliating Daily Face Wash will make your skin look naturally radiant. It's packed with natural microbes to gently exfoliate and freshen your face with a blend of grapefruit and peppermint essential oils. Clear away dry, dead skin in a flash and always put your best face forward. Gentle enough for daily use. All natural, sulfate-free and infused with Aloe Vera, Grapefruit and Peppermint Essential Oils. Sugar based microbeads lightly scrub clean and remove dead skin cells.

Thank goodness this came into my life because I have been "running out" of my cleansers and have been too lazy to go out and buy some more which is why I love that Ipsy gives samples just because I don't want to commit to a full size skin care product just in case it doesn't work out.

So this face wash is supposed to make your skin look radiant and fresh. The scent of this face wash is a citrus and mint smell which I absolutely love. I love scents that have citrus and mint in them just because it smells so clean. The texture of this cash wash is a bit think and has exfoliating beads in them but it isn't so much that you feel like you can't wash the beads away. I like how this feels on the skin because it gently exfoliates my skin and the mint scent makes my face feel super refreshed.

I love using this cleanser in the morning because it wakes up my face and so far my skin has no bad reaction to it. I do feel like my face does look brighter, cleaner, and refreshed. I would be so down to buy this in the full size bottle once this sample is done. I really like it!

The next item in this bag is the Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Finish Primer Oil.

Claims: The power of a primer. The luxury of a face oil. Fall in love with you skin--before you put on makeup--with the first ever primer specifically formulated in a lightweight, lustrous oil. This fast-absorbing hero blend of 15 essential and lipid-rich plant oils penetrate instantly to moisturize your face for seamless foundation application with a dewy, youthful finish. In fact, you might think twice before you reach for your makeup. Softens complexion to make foundation look like skin. Instantly absorbs and adds radiance. 15 essential and lipid-rich plant oils including moisturizing jojoba and calming chamomile. Apply a few drops to split-ends, cuticles, elbows and clavicle for a dewy, youthful sheen.

This is an interesting new product from Smashbox Cosmetics. This is their new photo finish primer oil and Smashbox has always been on their game with primers. I've yet to try their primer spray, which I really want to, but this is an oil primer which I've never heard of before.

This oil is supposed to be lightweight on the skin and absorbs really fast. This is also supposed to moisturize and prep your face for foundation. You can also use this oil on your hair, cuticles, and skin, which I've never heard of before.

The first time that I tried this primer oil I really liked how it went on the skin. I use oil as night moisturizer after I've cleansed and washed my face so it felt just as nice as that oil. You don't need much of this to cover your whole face, a few drops is good enough. This oil does absorb quickly on the skin and it did make it smooth for my foundation. What I was concerned about is that this may not be good for people with oily skin. I have combination skin and while this felt really good on the dry areas on my face, I really felt concerned my t-zone.

When I applied my foundation on top I felt that it did not disturb the foundation at all. My foundation went on smoothly and overall I liked this primer oil. I did see a little more oiliness on my t-zone but the rest of my face felt really moisturized throughout the day. I would definitely stay away from this if you oily skin but for people with dry skin, this could really be nice for you!

And the last item in this bag is the VINTAGE by Jessica Liebeskind Sparking Lipgloss in the color Pink Sequin.

Claims: Give your lips a glittery glow with VINTAGE by Jessica Liebeskind's Sparking Lipgloss. This sheer, reflective formula provides luminous shine and sophisticated shimmer. It can be worn alone, over your favorite lipstick or with a lip pencil for a perfectly polished pout. Subtle spark with long-lasting shine. Soft color that compliments all skin tones. Blends easily with other lip colors for customized shades. Ultra nourishing and comfortable.

It's been a while since I've tried out a lip gloss and honestly...I know why. I've been so used to matte or satin finish lipsticks that I haven't thought of gloss in forever. I'm in love with my liquid lipsticks, it's really all that I buy (especially the ones from Colourpop). But I'm willing to try any lip products because it's definitely one of my faves to try out.

This lip gloss is a very light pink color with flecks of golden shimmer in it. It comes off on the lips as very milky tone and actually has a sticky texture to it. I tried it on over a matte lipsticks to add some sheen and honestly I hated it. Maybe is someone liked lip glosses they might have liked this but since it is sticky I wouldn't bother.

And that is it for my February Glam Bag! Let me know what you got in your glam bag if you're subscribed to the service or let me know what you think of the products I got or if I tried them. I was slightly disappointed in this bag just because I only really liked three things. My fave was the cleanser and my least fave was the lip gloss. But thanks for reading!
