Hello beauties and Happy Halloween! I hope you are all having a spooktacular day! But, as the weather turns a bit chillier and the leaves begin to fall to the ground, and love is in the air, what better time of year then to have a beautiful Autumn wedding.
I love the fall season and the nice weather that it brings. People are falling in love, getting Pumpkin Spice lattes at their local Starbucks, and cuddling with their loved ones. Many, choose to have an Autumn wedding (I am definitely going to be that person) and brides are looking for inspirations on what to wear and how to wear their makeup.
Although I'm single and would love a man to snuggle with, I do love to think about my future wedding from time to time. I was recently contacted by a representative (Hello Carolyn!) at Lover.ly (which is a website that helps with wedding planning and it is amazing! Brides, you should definitely check this website out) and was asked to create makeup inspirations for their beautiful gowns.
The first wedding gown is this beautiful and elegant romantic Victorian-esque dress. Out of the three wedding gowns I'm going to draw inspiration from today, this first one is my absolute favorite. The beautiful lace detailing, the cap sleeves, and the mermaid silhouette leads me to a more classic approach when it comes to makeup that suits this dress.
By using the tool Polyvore, here is my makeup inspiration for this dress.
I love mixing high end products with drugstore products because you truly get the best of both worlds. Of course, you don't have to use these products exactly but these are just my suggestions. All of the makeup inspirations that you see here on the post are makeup products that I personally own. I like it this way because I can give you my honest opinions on the them.
Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation - I love this foundation so much! No matter how many layers I put on it still looks like my skin but perfected. This doesn't cake up at all and it's lightweight, perfect for long hour wear.
Lorac Mega Pro Eyeshadow Palette - I just recently got this palette but I am so in love with it (an in depth blog post about it will be up soon!). Lorac shadows never fail to impress me. This palette comes with a mixture of matte and shimmer shadows. I would go with a natural look using Sienna (shimmer champagne color) all over the lids, with Sepia (matte tan) in the crease to blend out Sienna and to give depth to eyes, and the shadow Granite (shimmer brown) in the outer corner for a subtle brown smokey effect.
NYX The Curve Liquid Eyeliner - This liner is on my top 5 favorite liquid liners list. It goes on smoothly and opaquely and lasts forever on my lids. The handle definitely needs some getting used to but it's not that hard to grasp. I would go with a subtle wing with this dress.
L'oreal Miss Manga Mega Volume Mascara - Check out my blog post here all about this mascara! Since we're going subtle with this makeup look, bold lashes and bold brows will make your eyes pop!
Benefit Benetint - I absolutely love Benetint because it has dual uses. You can use the tint on your lips or on your cheeks and you can build it up to your preference. Plus, I love the scent.
Wet N' Wild Fergie To Reflect Shimmer Palette - Of course you have to be a bit highlighted on your wedding day so for this look I chose this highlighter. Although it's not marketed as one it sure looks like one. This is such a pretty and subtle highlighter you really couldn't go wrong with this.
Moving on to the second wedding dress, it is this bold and chic strapless gown with a pop of pink on the bottom of the dress. I think this dress is for women who love to stand out but still want to keep the elegance of a wedding. I absolutely love the feathery texture and the ombre effect of the pink.
So here's the makeup products that I put together inspired by the dress.
Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation - I've been personally enjoying this foundation as of late. It's a medium to full coverage foundation and super light. It looks very natural on the skin and doesn't cake up. There will be a future in depth review of this foundation here on the blog.
Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette - I love the Naked palletes and the Naked 3 is not an exception. This Naked palette deals with various types of pinks and I think it is the perfect set of eyeshadows for this dress. Because the bottom of the dress is already so pink, I think that a nice wash of pink on the lids is just perfect. I would put the color Buzz (pink gold shimmer) all over the lids with Limit (matte pale pink) in the crease. Here's my full blog and review post on the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette.
Pixi Endless Silky Pencil Eyeliner - This pencil is one of the better pencil eyeliners I've ever used. I'm more of a liquid liner type of gal but when I want to tightline I go for this particular pencil. Trust me ladies, it is so silky smooth and glides on like butter. Once this liner sets, it's there all day. With this makeup look I would tightline with black liner so that the look isn't too harsh. Pair this technique with a great mascara and your eyes will pop with pink!
Tarte Amazonia Clay Blush - To tone down the overall pinkness I chose the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed. This blush is a nude brown pink and looks amazing on the skin. I often use this as a bronzer just to warm the skin but still have a flush of color. Although it is very pigmented, you can definitely build it up to how you want it. This is definitely a long wearing blush and will last all day.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder - Now this powder can definitely be used as a highlighter and the particular one I have pictured here is the lighting powder in Luminous Light. The way this looks on the skin is absolutely gorgeous. It literally looks like you're glowing from within and it is such a great effect for a wedding.
Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm - Because the rest of the face is all about the shimmer and glitter, I decided to go matte for the lips in this look. The color I chose is the color in Elusive. It is a warm pink and can be very pigmented if applied on the lips fully. I suggest to apply this balm lightly on the lips with your fingers while patting them in to insure that the balm will stay on all day. This matte balm is definitely moisturizing and comfortable on the lips.

And lastly, is the third wedding dress. This is your classic strapless sweetheart neckline dress and tight bodice with a modern twist on the bottom of the dress which flows out into this beautiful gown like skirt. The makeup that I envisioned for this dress is a bronze and golden glow type of look.
Here are the makeup products that I chose to achieve a bronze and golden glow makeup look.
Maybelline Dream Wonder Fluid Touch Foundation - This foundation is one of those liquid to powder type of foundations. I like this foundation for that because it makes your skin feel so smooth after. It's lightweight and very bendable but you have to be fast because it does set quickly. It has a light to medium coverage and sets matte. Pairing this foundation with a good concealer and powder will make your face look flawless.
Maybelline The Nudes Palette - I have been LOVING this palette so much! I thought I didn't need it because I own way too many palettes for the average girl but it is a must for us neutral girls. A future blog post dedicated to this palette will be up soon but I would use these eyeshadows to achieve a bronze look. I would start with the shadow on the first row, the fourth shadow from the left. It is a beautiful golden shimmer and would look great all over the eyelid. Put the shadow next to it on the right which is a matte taupe gray in the crease to blend out the gold. And lastly place the bottom row, fourth shadow from the left in the outer corner and blend out any harsh lines. It's a beautiful shimmery brown and it'll tie the eye look together well.
L'oreal Silkissime Eyeliner - This silkissime (such a cute name to say out loud) eyeliner from L'oreal is absolutely butter. I wouldn't be surprised if it was made from butter because ladies', that's how smooth it is. It is smooth and pigmented and it lasts. I would line my eyes as usual for this look, keeping close to the lash line.
Tate Lights, Camera, Flashes, Mascara - This is a great mascara for this look because it not only lengthens but it volumes my lashes as well. It adds flair to your eye look and lasts all day. It's pigmented and applies on well but you have to be careful not to over do it because it will get clumpy...unless you like that look. I mean I do for certain looks but not all the time. This won't smudge at all and there won't be any flakes flaking off your lashes.
Revlon Photoready Bronzer - This is my favorite bronzer to use when I'm going for the sun kissed look. Since we want to glow, this four tone bronzer has a bit of shimmer that not bronzes you up but gives you that highlight that'll make people question if you just came back from a tropical vacation.
EM Cosmetics Lip Gallery Creamy Color Gallery Lipstick - This lipstick has been a new discovered love for me. The color I have pictured is the color in Cuddle Up Pink. It is a beautiful creamy and pigmented light pink. I wouldn't apply this lipstick on fully but to tap the bullet on the lips for a wash of this pink color. These lipsticks are definitely moisturizing but they aren't super long wearing. Touch ups here and there will be just fine.
