October 2014 Ipsy Glam Bag: Beauty Candy

Guys, I am always super late when it comes to posting a post about these glam bags! I'm determined to be on time next month. DETERMINED!

Moving on...the theme of October for Ipsy was Beauty Candy. How adorable! The bag for this month is by far my favorite like it looks like a high end type of bag. The bag is your standard pouch type bag but in the color teal. It has a quilted type of pattern on it but it is super sturdy type of plastic. I really like it because it won't rip easily and it won't get dirty. Love love love it.

As per usual I received five beauty like items and overall I am happy. So click on read more to check my thoughts on the bag!

The first item I'd like to talk about is the Épicé International Purifying Exfoliant. I've never heard of Épicé before but it sounds super duper fancy.

Claims: A unique exfoliant which removes excess dirt and dead skin cells all while activating collagen production and hydrating your skin. This moisture rich formula utilizes mild, non-irritating, and anti-bacterial cleansers with micro-fine polyspheres which enhances skin texture and clarity for a clean, fresh appearance. The Épicé Purifying Exfoliant is also great to use on the entire body and after just a few uses, you will begin to see improvement in the look and feel of your skin.

I'm not really into skincare so I really felt whatever when I peeked into my glam room online but now seeing the benefits this may have, I'm very intrigued.

The first time I used this Exfoliant I found it to be soothing. It actually has a pleasant smell and the little beads felt really good on my skin. I didn't need much to fully cover my face. The instructions also say to leave and let dry the Exfoliant on your face for about a minute or so. It dries to a milky white look on the face.

Once a minute passed, I wiped it away with warm water and instantly felt my skin was soft and moisturized. It was not drying at all and my skin felt fresher. I love the micro beads in this because usually I feel in other products its overwhelming and super annoying to wash all of them off.

I'm definitely going to continue using this and I think I'll just use it as a cleanser...unless that's a bad idea. I need moisture and softness people!

Next up is the Figs & Rouge Hand Cream. I was super excited to see that this was in my bag this month because it's that time of the season where my hands gets super dry and so do my lips. I personally haven't had a hand cream at my disposal in forever and this comes in such a cute packaging!

Claims: Figs & Rouge Shea Butter Enriched Limited Edition Hand Creams are deliciously fragrant & indulgent. These delectable creams soften, nourish, & throughly pamper hands throughout the day, quickly absorbing to provide super soft skin. Apply Figs & Rouge Hand Cream onto your hands and massage into skin throughout the day as needed.

I got this hand cream in the scent Rose Berry. AND I LOVE IT! I love the scent so much and the hand lotion is super creamy. My hands feel moisturized and smooth and it dries rather quickly. I've been carrying it around in my school bag and my friends often ask me to share my hand lotion with them because it's that good.

Honestly, nothing bad to say.

Third item from this bag is the ModelCo VolumEyes Extreme Black Mascara.

Claims: Get gorgeous, full, luxurious lashes with all new Volumeyes Extreme Black Mascara. The intensely black, volumizing mascara separates, coats and curls each lash to voluptuous perfection. One coat and lashes are defined. Two coats and lashes are even more luscious, curled and dramatic. With an all new extra-volume and an innovative quick dry formula, your lashes will have dramatic impact with a coveted flirty curl. The formula works in conjunction with the plush nylon brush to thicken lashes without clumping, giving you maximum volume that lasts and lasts.

Why you need Volumeyes by ModelCo:

-Transforms lashes to lush, long and lustrous

-Tripple groove wand combs through for clump free volume

-Buildable formula takes lashes to extreme results

-Separates, coats and curls each individual lash

This mascara comes in a cute 7 grams mini mascara. I love getting mascara in my Ipsy bag because it means I don't have to go out and buy any. I'm normally never picky about my mascaras as long as my lashes look good, I'm good to go!

The first thing that I noticed about this mascara is the wand and its packaging. The wand is thick but the way the packaging was built is that it tightly keeps the mascara wand in so that when you open it, any extra product will stay inside instead of having to wipe it at the top. Love that.

The formula is actually really dry but oddly enough it gets the job done. I personally like wet formula lashes just because I feel it does a better job on my particular lashes but this mascara really gave me length but not too much on the volume side. With another coat, it doesn't clump up and it continues giving me length. I wish it gave me more volume but overall this mascara is pretty good.

As for lasting power, it does last throughout the day. My lashes kept a curl and I only saw some fall out but it really wasn't a problem at all. If you like a dry formula mascara I think that this could be the mascara for you.

And the next product is the Nicole by OPI Nail Lacquer in the color Feeling Very Cherry.

Claims: Feeling Very Cherry has got us feeling fine, and we're guilty of loving On a Gilt Trip's satiny, matte finish! Nicole by OPI puts salon quality at your fingertips...from the colorful work of OPI.

-Long lasting

-Salon quality

-Fast drying

I've had Nicole by OPI polishes before and while they are an OPI brand the polish is neither amazing nor horrible. The color did apply on well, a bit streaky, but two good coats should do the trick. I love that this color is a very deep red, almost black, polish because it just screams Fall. The wear of this polish isn't so great. It chips easily and in a couple of days I'll need to repaint my nails.

I actually don't mind repainting my nails because of how gorgeous the color is. I'm glad that I got this polish in my bag but it isn't an outstanding polish.

Now we've reached the end with the last product which is the Starlooks Lipgloss in the color Guilty Pleasure.

Claims: Starlooks Lip Glosses are created with a truly moisturizing, luxury, non-sticky formula. This neutral rose, yet glamorous shade provides the perfect glisten for any lip look and complements any skin tone! Can be worn aloe or in combination with other Starlooks lip products for a truly customizable finish.

This gloss came in such the cutest and tiniest hippie packaging I have ever seen. It is literally  2/3 of the size of my pinkie. I really love miniature things!

Again, the color I got is Guilty Pleasure which is a nude pink. On my lips it looks like one of those "my lips but better" type of glosses but cool tone. What I can say that I like is that this is a super pigmented gloss. I definitely don't need a lipstick under it to get its full opacity in effect. It doesn't have any glitter to it, just a shine.

It's semi sticky but it doesn't bother me at all and it does clump if you have dry lips. This gloss does have a scent which is sweet almost like a vanilla cupcake type of smell. I like it! Overall I like this lipgloss. It's a very wearable product and I can just stick it in my bag and have it there in case I need a lipgloss or something.

And that is all I got in October's Ipsy bag! Again I am super satisfied with the products that I have been receiving so far and I can't wait for next month. Please let me know what you got in your Ipsy bag or if we have similar products. Did you like what you got for this month?
